"Let us kneel often before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament"
May Crowning 2020
"Sharing the Love of the Heart of Christ"
During this month dedicated to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary, Cor Jesu Campus Ministry invites you to celebrate our Mother Mary in your homes.
In the words of Pope Francis: “Let us invoke Mary’s intercession. May she help us to be open to God’s surprises, to be faithful to him each and every day, and to praise and thank him, for he is our strength.”
May Crowning Prayer Service
Cor Jesu students led an online May Crowning prayer service while in quarrantine and we invite you to watch the video below beginning May 11:
Prayerful Opportunities To Celebrate Mary During May
Create a Place of Honor
In a visible spot make a May altar or put a picture or a statue of Mary, a basket, small pieces of paper, and some pens to write down intentions you & your family want to pray for through Mary’s intercession. As a family, pray to Mary to answer these petitions.
Have your family honor Mary in a special way by having a family Mary May Crowning service. Use artificial flowers for Mary’s crown. You could pray the Hail Mary and/or Hail, Holy Queen to honor Mary in a special way. We invite you to share the May Crowning Video above with your families.
Pray the rosary daily or one decade each day. Consider writing with special intentions for each bead or each decade, as in this Intentional Rosary template.
Mary Model of a Grateful Heart
“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” (Luke 1:46)
Campus Ministry and CH.I.P (CHargers In Prayer) share their May 6th Zoom faith sharing: “Gratefulness”, presented by Maddie Massmann ’21.
