Cor Jesu Academy is accredited by

AdvancedED/North Central Association of

Colleges and Schools (NCA).



The schedule is an 8-block schedule, which rotates on a

six-day cycle.

Classes meet on alternating days for 85 minutes.



Cor Jesu Academy is a private, Catholic, college-preparatory

high school owned and operated by the Apostles of the

Sacred Heart of Jesus that offers a program for the total education

of academically talented young women.



Cor Jesu was founded in 1956 in the city of St. Louis and moved

to its present location in St. Louis County in 1965. The school

draws its applicants from 97 elementary schools, both public

and private, as well as home-schooled students.



Admission to Cor Jesu is very competitive. It is based on a

personal interview, elementary school standardized

test scores and grades.



Cor Jesu students are not ranked numerically.


In keeping with the recommendation of the

NASSP and the North Central Association, all credit subjects

are used in determining honor rolls.




Cor Jesu offers ACC (Advanced College Credit) and ACP  courses under

the auspices of St. Louis University and University of Missouri St. Louis.


AP (Advanced Placement) courses are offered in English, Mathematics,

Science, Social Studies, Language, Music and Art.


More than 60 honors, AP (Advanced Placement), ACC (Advanced College Credit), 

1818 (college credt through Saint Louis University) and ACP (college credit

through UMSL) courses are available in business, English, foreign languages, math,

science, social studies, theology, art and music
