The “Give From The Heart” Annual Fund is the foundation of all Cor Jesu financial support. We rely on this fund for two very important reasons. First, to ensure that no capable young woman, regardless of her family’s financial capacity, is denied a Cor Jesu education. Second, to keep our school operating budget stable and thus able to sustain the exceptional academic and spiritual environment that is Cor Jesu.
Each senior class, upon graduating from Cor Jesu, has an Endowed Scholarship created in its name. All subsequent alumnae gifts to the Annual Fund are then added to the donor’s class scholarship, unless otherwise directed. These funds are held in the Cor Jesu Endowment Fund in perpetuity. The fund’s annual earnings are applied to need-based scholarships. When a class scholarship balance reaches $11,000, 5% of the balance is awarded annually to a Cor Jesu student. A list of the class giving principal balances, as of (4/29/2016), is available here
Parents, Grandparents and Friends
Parent donations help offset the financial gap between the annual cost to educate a Cor Jesu student ($17,425) and the amount of tuition we charge ($14,925). Current parents have the option of including their Annual Fund donation with their tuition payment(s) or choosing to make it separately.
At Cor Jesu, we place primary emphasis on participation, rather than on dollar amount. We believe that “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be” (MT 6:21) and so, to ensure the commitment and unity of our CJ community, we ask you to truly give from the heart, at whatever amount you feel is right for you and your family.
