Special Requirements:

As a Project Engineer Intern, our goal is to prepare you for a full-time Project Engineer role.  During your internship, you will be exposed to many aspects of the construction process.  You will work hand-in-hand with your Project Team to help coordinate construction activities and ensure a profitable, well-constructed, safe project is delivered.

  • Becoming familiar with all aspects of current project documents and scope of work
  • Reviewing shop drawing submittals in a timely fashion
  • Assisting in coordinating construction activities
  • Helping to obtain permits
  • Assisting in quantity takeoffs and confirmation of work quantities installed
  • Developing pricing skills
  • Soliciting material and equipment quotations 
  • Working in conjunction with the Superintendent
  • Participating in estimating activities 
  • Assist in schedule development and management
  • Develop scopes of work for inclusion in purchase orders and subcontracts
  • Prepare jobsite meeting agendas and minutes
  • Review subcontractor and supplier invoices against work completed to date
  • Participate in the quality control/assurance program
  • Participate in jobsite safety walks
  • Assist in LEED documentation process
  • Assist in project close-out procedures
PREQUISITES (i.e., Education, Experience)
  • Current college student seeking a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree
