"Sharing the Love of the Heart of Christ"

Congratulations to Emma Herr ’20, who recently earned the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Medal!

After completing more than 250 hours of volunteer service, Cor Jesu senior Emma Herr has earned the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Medal.

In 2003, the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.
For her community service, Emma participated in the Appalachian Service Project, and continues to volunteer at her parish by playing violin at Sunday Masses, by serving on the Confirmation Core team and by being a speaker and coordinator for Luke 18 retreats, and is active in National Honor Society at Cor Jesu.

Congrats, Emma - we're proud of you!
