Cor Jesu Academy Health Protocols

Parents are required to observe the following protocols should their daughter become ill:

FEVER:
Any student with a fever of 100 degrees F or higher should not attend school. They should not return until at least 24 hours after they no longer have a fever (temperature of 100 or higher) or signs of a fever (chills, feeling very warm, flushed appearance, or sweating) without the use of fever-reducing medicine (e.g., Tylenol).

Vomiting/Diarrhea:
Students who have vomited or had diarrhea should be kept at home and should return to school only after being symptom-free for 24 hours.

Strep Throat:
A student with symptoms of strep throat must stay home from school until evaluated by a medical provider. The student diagnosed with strep throat may return to school 24 hours after antibiotic treatment has been started.

COVID-19:
Cor Jesu is following CDC guidance for the management of COVID-19 and the guidelines for screening COVID-19 symptoms or exposure prepared by the St. Louis County Department of Public Health for K-12 schools.. Parents should screen their children for symptoms each day before sending them to school.
