College Credit & AP Classes

SLU 1818 Advanced College Credit (ACC) Program

Students can enroll in 1818 Advanced College Credit (ACC) courses to earn ACC through St. Louis University. The ACC courses available through Cor Jesu include: English, World Languages, Math, Science, Social Studies and Theology. All college-credit courses are integrated into our schedule and are taught by Cor Jesu faculty.  The following ACC courses are currently available to CJ students:
 

  • History of the U.S. to 1865
  • History of the U.S. since 1865
  • American Government & Politics
  • Introduction to Comparative Government and Politics
  • Advanced Strategies of Rhetoric and Research
  • Calculus I
  • Calculus II
  • General Physics I
  • General Physics II
  • Communicating in Spanish I
  • Communicating in Spanish II
  • Intermediate Spanish: Language and Culture
  • Communicating in French I
  • Communicating in French II
  • Intermediate French: Language and Culture
  • Reading in Latin I
  • Reading in Latin II
  • Intermediate Latin: Language and Culture
  • General Chemistry I
  • General Chemistry II


Students participating in the 1818 Advanced College Credit Program are registered as students at St. Louis University. Since the University continues to update their forms and information, a link to the ACC Information Page is shown in the Helpful Links panel.  You can access updated forms by clicking on the link and the appropriate form on the page. UMSL Advanced Credit Program (ACP)

Cor Jesu also partners with the University of Missouri St. Louis for advanced college credit.  Through the Advanced Credit Program (ACP) students are able to earn credit in:  English and Art. The following ACP courses are currently available to CJ students:

  • Introduction to Literature

  • Hey, Have You Read?
  • Topics in Literature
  • Poetry: The Greatest Hits

College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Classes

Cor Jesu Academy also offers classes on the junior and senior levels which prepare students for the College Board Advanced Placement exams. AP exams are standardized tests given across the nation each May. Based on test scores, many colleges and universities accept AP courses for credit or advanced placement. It is recommended that students contact the colleges directly for further information. Students who are enrolled in an AP/ACC/ACP course may earn ACC credit through Saint Louis University, or ACP credit through the University of Missouri-St. Louis and/or also take the AP exam in that subject.
