The Charger Track & Field team ended their season with an 11th place finish at the MSHSAA Class 4 State Championship Track and Field Meet in Jefferson City. Francie Luna earned 1st place in the 1600 Meter run and the 4x800 Meter Relay team of Eva Morie ‘23, Adie Luna ‘23, Maria Luna ‘24 and Francie Luna ’22 set a new school record with a time of 9:15.15.

The Metro Women’s Athletic Association (MWAA) announced all-conference honors for both Lacrosse and Track & Field. Congratulations to Anna Loeffelman ’23 who was named the Player of the Year in Lacrosse.
Congratulations to senior Francie Luna who was named as Cor Jesu’s St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete for 2022.
Several students participated in the Missouri State High School Activities Association State Music Festival held at the University of Missouri – Columbia April 28-30. These girls worked incredibly hard preparing music either as a soloist or as part of an ensemble or both.
The Class of 2022 was honored at an all-school assembly on May 4, 2022. Seniors were recognized for their academic, athletic, service and extracurricular achievements.
Students in Cor Jesu’s Independent Science Research (ISR) program participated in the 2022 Academy of Science St. Louis Science Fair and won multiple awards. Our students joined over 900 area K-12 students representing 97 schools who participated in the e-fair.
Beginning July 1, we will shift from our existing model, which includes a principal and a dean of curriculum and professional development, to our new model, which will include two deans: a Dean of Academics and a Dean of Student Life. Meghan Bohac, Ed.D., currently president of Notre Dame High School in St. Louis, will assume the role of our Dean of Academics. Kathleen Wobbe Pottinger ‘88, known well as Cor Jesu’s Director of Music will become the Dean of Student Life.
Cor Jesu was named the Girls All-Metro Team of the Year at the Big River Running Company post-season banquet held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at St. Louis University High School. In addition, Frances Luna ’22 was named to the Girls First Team and Adrienne Luna ’23 received an Honorable Mention.
Congratulations to Anna Moehn, ’22 who has been named the Post-Dispatch All-Metro girls swimmer of the year. Anna led the Chargers to the Class 1 State title in 2021 and a second-place Class 2 finish in 2022.
