Director of Advancement and Leadership Giving
Director of Advancement and Leadership Giving
Cor Jesu is seeking a Director of Advancement and Leadership Giving to provide leadership and management of the Advancement Office. They are responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive advancement program. The Director of Advancement and Leadership Giving provides direction and guidance to the school, reports directly to the President, serves as a member of the administrative team and oversees members of the Advancement staff.
Specific Duties:

Advancement, Advisory Board, Board Committee Relations:
- Advises and assists the President, Advisory Council, Advancement Committee, and Endowment Committee in establishing and maintaining an on-going program of advancement to market the school for image, enrollment and resources.
- Advises the President and others on implications and impacts of policies and practices of the school, considering public attitudes, including those affecting alumnae, parents, and others in the community.
- Major Gifts:
- Develops and executes an annual plan to grow the base of Cor Jesu’s major donors. Identifies opportunities to deepen the commitments of existing major donors. Personally solicits gifts alone or with others.
- Sees that prospects are assigned to appropriate persons in the Advancement Department, advisory board members, other key volunteers, and administrators.
- Coordinates the writing and submission of funding proposals to Foundations.
- Annual Fund:
- Plans and implements with input from the President and Advisory Council, a comprehensive annual giving campaign to secure significant funding for the school.
- Works directly with the Advancement Team to make the Annual Fund the foundation of giving, tracks retention, and meets Annual Fund goals.
- Capital Campaign:
- Develops, plans and manages future Capital Campaigns.
- Determines Capital Campaign goals in collaboration with the President, Advisory Board and Leadership Team.
- Constituent Relations:
- Develops, implements and leads with the Advancement team a comprehensive constituent relations program including parents, alumnae, parents of alumnae, grandparents and friends, ensuring that cultivation and stewardship plans are executed.
- Develops donor relations, corporate and foundation relations programs to maintain connection and communication with key Investment sources of the school.
- Communications:
- With the Communications team and Advancement team, coordinates marketing materials for solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship.
- Works with Communications & Public Relations as related to the Advancement Office.
- Planned Giving:
- Coordinates planned and deferred giving programs.
- Produces financial reports and statistical reports on annual giving, capital giving, endowments, cash flow and other projections.
- Solicits new Endowed Scholarships.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervises and directs the work of the Advancement Team.
- Oversees the Advancement program including growing the Annual Fund, increasing the Endowment, increasing revenue of Special Events, and increased planned giving.
- Prepares and administers budget for Advancement Office.
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree required, with a minimum of 3-5 years advancement experience.
- Experience soliciting gifts.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments, both internal and external, to produce projects in a timely manner.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for Catholic education.
- Experience with platforms utilized by the school, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and relevant donor CRM software, Blackbaud experience preferred.
Scope: This position is year-round, full-time and requires evenings and weekend work.

Assistant Track Coach (Distance Specialist)
Overview
The Assistant Track Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with his/her team, while also completing the responsibilities assigned by the head coach or Athletic Director. The behavior of the coach and the players should be representative of Cor Jesu Academy. The season begins March 3, 2025, and goes through mid-May. Qualifications
Certified Teacher or college deree and completion of MSHSAA First Aid and Coaching Course. Must be a responsible, organized, creative and hard-working individual.
Department Relationship
Reports to the Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Director. Oversees his/her team assistant coaches and maintains a close working relationship with all coaches within the program that they coach.
Job Expectations
- Plans practices for athletes running distance events
- Follows the guidelines and philosophy set by the Athletic Department
- Understands and follows the rules set by MSHSAA and NFHS
- Attends meetings included those scheduled by AD, by the Principal or the MSHSAA rules meeting
- Stays up to date on changes in rules and skill development for the sport
- Regularly check school email and Athletic Department mailbox
- Fulfill the responsibilities assigned by the head of that sport program
- Promotes the program wide expectations of the Head Varsity Coach
- Assists Head Varsity Coach in conducting a rules meeting for his/her sport program before the first competition
- Supervise proper care and inventory of equipment used by his/her team
- Provides Head Varsity Coach with information needed for the end of the season inventory. Assist in storing equipment at the end of the season.
Assistant Varsity Tennis Coach
Overview
Cor Jesu is looking for an Assistant Varsity Tennis Coach for the upcoming fall season. The season begins August 12. The coach will be responsible for team practices and games. They will report to the Varsity Coach and will fulfill any responsibilities assigned by the Varsity Coach. The behavior of the coach and the players should be representative of Cor Jesu Academy. Overview
Cor Jesu Academy is in need of a Head Track Coach for the upcoming spring season, beginning March 2, 2025. Track practices take place at 3:30 P.M. at Vianney High School. The Head Varsity Coach is responsible for coaching his/her event groups, while also completing any paperwork and other responsibilities related to the sport including meet entries and the collection of meet results. - Attends meetings included those scheduled by AD, by the Principal or the MSHSAA rules meeting.
- Stays up to date on changes in rules and skill development for track.
- Regularly checks school email and Athletic Department mailbox.
- Communicates with coaches and Athletic Office about practice and meet information.
- Checks that all participants have a physical on file.
- Finalizes roster and informs Athletic Office of participants.
- Conducts a rules meeting for his/her sport program before the first competition.
- Supervises the team managers, statisticians and home game workers.
- Distributes and collects uniforms. (Track on uniform check out sheet)
- Reports meet results to athletic department following contest.
- Notify the Trainer & Athletic Director of any injuries or incidents.
- Keep med kits adequately stocked and with you at all practices and competitions.
- Supervise proper care and inventory of equipment used by the sport.
- Submit end of the season reports and turn in end of the year report, keys, and med kits.
