Three-Peat Complete: Cor Jesu Soccer Captures Third Consecutive State Championship

The Chargers completed a historic season on June 6, defeating St. Dominic 5-0 to capture the MSHSAA Class 4 State Championship and secure their third consecutive state title. With the victory, Cor Jesu finished the season a perfect 25-0 and became just the fourth girls soccer team in Missouri history to complete an undefeated season.

From the opening whistle, the Chargers showcased the talent, determination and teamwork that defined their remarkable season. Goals from Maddie DiMaria '27, Rosalyn Doherty '27 and Katie West '26 helped power Cor Jesu to a commanding championship performance and punctuated one of the most successful seasons in program history.

The state title was the culmination of months of hard work and a season marked by excellence at every level. The Chargers outscored opponents by a wide margin throughout the year, consistently demonstrating the skill, discipline and competitive spirit that have become hallmarks of the program.

Leading the team was Head Coach Rachel Brcic '08, alongside Assistant Coaches Emily Erbs Malone '17 and Nina Bono Murphy '05. Together, the coaching staff guided the Chargers through another championship run while continuing to build a culture rooted in commitment, accountability and love for one another.

While the trophies and records are impressive, what makes this accomplishment especially meaningful is the way this team represented Cor Jesu. Throughout the season, the Chargers competed with humility, resilience and heart, supporting one another through every challenge and celebrating every success as a team.

This third consecutive state championship cements Cor Jesu's place among the premier soccer programs in Missouri and adds another chapter to a legacy of excellence that continues to inspire future Chargers.

Congratulations to our players, coaches, families and supporters on an unforgettable season. Your perseverance and passion have made Cor Jesu proud.
