July 2026 Charism Reflection

The phrase “Sharing the Love of the Heart of Christ” has taken on a deeper meaning for me with each new chapter of life. While at Cor Jesu, I learned that faith is not meant to exist only within the walls of a classroom or chapel, but in the way we live each day. Cor Jesu taught me the importance of leading with compassion, treating others with kindness, and carrying faith into everyday moments.

Ten years after graduating from Cor Jesu, I am now a wife, mom and full-time professional. I find myself returning often to the values Cor Jesu instilled in me and striving to share Christ’s love through small but meaningful acts — showing patience with my son, supporting my husband, offering encouragement to my co-workers, and caring for family and friends intentionally. I have learned that living out faith is often less about grand gestures and more about consistently choosing love in ordinary moments.

How are you being called to share the love of Christ in your own everyday life?

Carolyn Sinak Bergman ’19 shares how her family’s devotion to Blessed Clelia Merloni began during her father’s recovery from Guillain-Barré Syndrome and deepened when they discovered a remarkable connection to the miracle attributed to Blessed Clelia’s intercession. Years later, a visit to Blessed Clelia’s resting place in Rome reminded Carolyn of her call to follow Clelia’s example by sharing the love of Christ with others each day.
