“Sharing the Love of the Heart of Christ” is not just a phrase introduced to me in my time at Cor Jesu, nor is it something that left me as I moved onto my next chapter. Sharing the Love of the Heart of Christ was integrated into my life in high school and has since grown into part of who I am today. I’ve been very blessed throughout my life, and things have come to me seemingly easily, but that is not the case for many of the people I have met throughout college. The charism has taught me to be more generous and think of others first. Whether it be sparking a conversation with someone new, buying someone a coffee, giving a snack or money to the homeless or even just smiling at someone, you have the power to change someone’s day for the better.
I’ve found that God has been more present in my life than ever when I put others first. His joy can be radiant through the life we live, especially when we truly embrace this charism and let it become part of who we are. Investing in friendships at Cor Jesu taught me how to invest in others throughout college. The greatest gift you can share with someone is Christ’s love, so I encourage you to pray for others and to love others in everything you do.
What is one specific, tangible action you can commit to doing to "share the love of the Heart of Christ" with someone whose struggles you may not even know about?
