COVID-19 Statement

Cor Jesu ceased in-person instruction on Mar. 13, 2020 and live virtual learning began on Mar. 23, 2020. Virtual learning began at 8:00 a.m. and concluded at 2:40 p.m. using the block schedule of 85 minute classes. The students followed their regular schedules, meeting with the teacher in a virtual classroom and keeping their school day as close to “normal” as possible. Students were issued a grade for second semester. The integrity of this grade was reinforced by virtual classroom discussions, presentations, tests, and projects. Every student had a laptop and there was careful consideration given to support those students who may not have had access to reliable internet service. There were no final exams administered, so that grade is not included in their final percentage. The 2020-2021 academic year will begin on Aug. 17, 2020 with instruction M-F in 75 minute blocks. Teachers will teach in a hybrid format of in-person and virtual instruction. Two grade levels will attend in-person on campus each day. Normal grading policy will be implemented for this academic year.
