Diversity & Inclusion

At Cor Jesu Academy we are committed to continually promoting an inclusive environment in which everyone feels welcome and encouraged to become the best version of themselves. As such, we embrace and celebrate the cultural and ethnic diversity within our community and seek to educate ourselves more fully about the richness of diversity within our Catholic Tradition and our global society.

In order to be faithful to our charism of “Sharing the Love of the Heart of Christ” and our mission of forming and educating young women to be faith-filled, intellectual and compassionate leaders within our global community, Cor Jesu Academy believes it is essential for our community to actively respond to the call of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), to all Christians—to actively acknowledge and confront the evils of racism in order to bring about healing.^{^[1]} As such, the formal diversity and inclusion initiatives at CJA will give particular attention to “addressing [racism’s] … causes and the injustice it produces.” ^{^[2]}
