Here are some memories that faculty and students have had the pleasure to share with Sr. Theodore.

Memories

"I left a glass plate too close to the edge of the faculty refrigerator. Sr. Teddy opened the refrigerator and my plate broke (spilling my lunch). She personally brought me lunch and desert (even though the accident was my fault). I was so touched."
–Mr. Tueth

“She helped me with my Italian, but I could never understand her.”
–Mrs. Bauer

“I have been at Cor Jesu for 20 years and at least twice a year Sr. Theodore say, ‘Peggy! I thought you were a student!’ What a great thing to hear.”

"She once made me 2 loaves of the most delicious homemade bread as a Christmas present. She loves working with yeast."

"Sr. Teddy tells great stories of her childhood; she had a close and loving family."

"When my friend Eileen developed heart cancer, I asked Sr. Teddy to pray for her. Eileen recovered and came up to CJ to meet the Sister who prayed for her, sent her notes and medals and scapulars. Eileen felt so happy and honored to meet Sr. Teddy. Eileen has been cancer free now for 9 years. So it's clear--Sr. Teddy packs alot of 'power' in her prayers. She has a DIRECT LINE to God."
--Mrs. Nolan

"She always had lemonade if you were sick."

"Sr. Teddy has her mandatory breaks at 10am and 2 pm everyday and can't pull off a joke without giggling and giving it away."

"Sr. Theodore loves rubbing babies' heads. Since I've had a few and they are all bald, they've all had good rubs from Sr. Teddy!"
--Mrs. Stephanie Hoelscher

"Watching her 'sneak' goodies from the faculty room table to share with someone else."

"When we had the golf tournament in September 2006, rain and storms threatened. I asked Sr. Teddy to pray that the rain stayed away. We got the tournament in, as it rained and stormed everywhere in St. Louis except over Forest Park's golf course. As the golfers came off the course into the club house, a beautiful rainbow appeared over the course. We even got pictures of the student golfers with the rainbow behind them. It was an awesome sight! A little bit later, as we sat down to dinner, the skies opened up and the rain poured down--with everyone safe and dry inside. It was miraculous! The event was a great success! Thank you to Sr. Theodore and her prayers--she has a hotline to heaven."
--Mrs. Nancy Kroll

"I remember having to bow to her everyday, and it was her turn to bow to me this year!"
--Mary Kaye Mueller
