Congratulations to the following Chargers, who made MWAA All-Conference Basketball status:

1st Team All-Conference: Liz Sinclair and Meg Riley

2nd Team All-Conference: Kim Gorman and Kelly Schuering

Honorable Mention: Colleen Barry

Four Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

On February 3, 2010, four Cor Jesu Academy athletes signed letters of intent to play soccer and field hockey at Rockhurst University, Missouri State University and the University of South Carolina next year.

Caiti Huber, who recovered from a knee injury last season, has committed to playing soccer at Rockhurst University. Katie Kujawa, a defensive standout at center back for the Chargers, signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Missouri State University. Also attending Missouri State will be Catrina Schmidt, who was 1st Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-Metro for field hockey. Liz Sinclair, a superior athlete on the basketball court and the soccer field and who was All-Conference and All-Metro Honorable Mention, has committed to play soccer for the University of South Carolina.

All four athletes will lead the Cor Jesu soccer team this spring, as they look to follow up last year’s quarter-final appearance with another charge into the post-season.
